Tips for GLOWING skin


It’s the final day of Beauty Week & I am just in awe of the response we have had this past week. So many incredible women have reached out to me about finding more confidence when doing their makeup with guests on or took time for themselves this week.

Today I’ve asked our 4 beauty gurus to share their Tips for GLOWING SKIN. 

A heartfelt thank you to Heather, Harriet, Mishka & Holly.


~ Water!  As busy as the day gets, try and remember to stay hydrated.  We work indoors the majority of the season and with the boats air handling systems being heavily controlled in the hotter areas of the world, it can cause chaos on our skin.  The air conditioners suck all the moisture out the air and can really dry out our skin.  It is so important to keep it hydrated from the inside, so consuming at least 2 liters of water a day is essential.

Top Tip: Sephora! We work hard, it’s ok to indulge every now and then!  And the best part of my Sephora visit is making my way to the cashier.  They have those strategic traps of travel size goodies that you simply cannot walk away from.  And although its a fantastic and unnecessary marketing strategy, I love the mini sizes because they are affordable, don’t take up much space and allow you to give the product a try without the full commitment!


~ Water water water! stay hydrated it’s so easy to forget to STOP and have a drink. Your body will not thank you for it.

~ SPF, even though we don’t work outside we still need to protect our face from the harmful rays.


~ First paycheck or one when you have time to spend, go and treat yourself to a facial- that’s mandatory.

~ WATER!! And actually, finish the bottle. Make it your goal in the morning.

~ Collagen powder or liquid is MAGIC ( vegan, gluten-free options)-easy to travel with powder or small sachets.

~ Hot water, lemon in the morning is a great way to start the day.

~ You don’t have to eat the pastries treated to you by your kind Chef or Chief Stew leftover from breakfast service- SAY NO…thank you

~ You don’t need more than two cups of coffee, surprise yourself with some green tea and see what happens to your skin!

Top Tip:
Finding a good health balance is never easy but anyone who knows me – knows I am constantly trying and that is the most important thing. TRY! Getting a good routine is impossible in an industry that can be so unpredictable at any stage. That is why it is important to look at self-care, as time for yourself even if it is for 10 minutes while your mask sets in. There is no better feeling than that spa glow to get you ready to smash your season. 


~ Exfoliate

~ Moisturize

~ WATER! Drink as much of it as you can

~ Sunscreen literally every day

~ Always take your makeup off

~ Clean your makeup brushes  (at least once a month, just use shampoo)

~ Silk Pillowcase
