Stewardess Beauty Basics

by

A person who feels appreciated will always do more than is excepted

I always welcome new stewardesses onboard with a care package. I want them to know to know how excited I am to get to know them while working alongside each other. During our busy summer season, long days & nights become the norm & self care takes a back seat. So, I created the perfect care package for a little extra pampering while on charter. Here are some essentials that I absolutely swear by to keep me going from trip to trip.

Hair
Hair. Lets face it, after an 18 hour work day, the last thing on my mind is washing my hair. I know its not what you want to hear, but with the help of dry shampoo, my lions mane can go an extra day or two. When theres a choice between sleeping an extra 45 mins or washing & drying my hair, sleep wins every time. Sorry, not sorry!

Lips
Sunshine outside + A/C inside = chapped lips.
I try to purchase natural products as much as possible & lip balm is no exception. Burt’s Bees products have been a favourite of mine for years. This ultra conditioning balm is a life saver!

Toes
This summer our owners have finally agreed to the Interior team wearing shoes. YIPEE! I can’t tell you how excited I am to finally have some support for my feet & have a more polished looked when in uniform. Pre-shoes days, I always got a pedicure a day or two before the guests arrived. Or at least that was the plan.
Work would often get a little too busy to spend an hour at the nail spa, so I relied on this navy nail polish for my toes. This gorgeous dark navy is so pretty on & touch ups are a breeze

Speaking of toes, my heels would always get rather dry without shoes on for weeks on end. This Heel Genius cream is absolutely unreal. I would always stock up on it when I was in the Mediterranean, but good news, it is FINALLY in North America. My feet are eternally grateful.

Face
I always find it a little ironic that as stewardesses we are supposed to look our best on charter, yet by the last couple of days I’m usually not feeling so hot. Taking 10 mins in between taking off my uniform and brushing my teeth before bed to do a quick face mask gives me that extra boost. I will try any mask product that says hydrating and this Sephora mask did not disappoint. I keep a stock pile onboard for days when I need a little extra pampering.

Sweet Tooth
Last, but not least… chocolate. Who can say no to a cheeky snack after a busy day of serving cocktails & exquisite meals to guests. Granted, it’s not the Baileys White Chocolate Creme Brûlée I just served to the guests, but it’s equally as yummy in its own right.

I would love to know! What do you stock up on before guest trips?

Big Hugs,

Gemma xo
